JYB Baseball Camps

JYB camps are designed to teach players the fundamental skills necessary for the many aspects of baseball.  Our goal is to foster a love of baseball in our players while developing their skills with knowledge and training.

JYB 2019 Spring Break baseball Camps

To be held outdoors at the JYB Fields; Field 12
Ages 5 and UP for all camps:

Camp #1: Monday March 18, 2019
10-1pm; 15 minute break during camp
Hitting Camp
Camp designed to teach proper hitting structure and mechanics.
Cost: $50
Camp #2: Tuesday March 19, 2019
10-1pm; 15 minute break during camp
Pitching and Throwing camp (throwing part for ages 8 and below; entire camp for all ages!!!!)
Camp designed to teach and enhance the art of pitching for those of age and those too young to pitch at this time; we will teach and develop the proper ways of throwing and catching.
Cost: $50
Camp #3: Wednesday March 20, 2019
10-2pm; 30 minute lunch break 12:15-12:45
All Skills Camp (all ages)
Camp designed to teach all aspects of the game other than hitting and pitching; throwing. Examples are sliding, base-running, fielding, catching fly balls, etc.
We will have a fun organized baseball game during this camp after lunch and will run to the conclusion of camp. We have done this for many years and all players love finishing up the camps with a fun game!!
Cost: $70

Mike Ponio played collegiate baseball at The University of Hawaii, Palomar JC in San Diego, and the University of Oklahoma. Mike had opportunities to play professional baseball with the Cincinnati Reds and Oakland Athletics. Mike has been conducting camps for JYB for 12 years as well as private lessons for 23+ years.  He also works with teams, assisting with pitching mechanics and fundamentals.
